Kevin L Fuller, CRPC®, CPFA
Kevin is originally from Louisiana, but grew up and has spent the majority of his life in and around the suburbs of Houston, TX. After graduating near the top (4th) of his high school class, Kevin worked his way through college – obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
Kevin began his career in public accounting, performing corporate audits. He then transitioned into corporate finance, and spent years managing the assets, investments, and retirement plans for corporations and institutions. Feeling unfulfilled and realizing a desire to utilize his financial acumen to more directly impact people’s lives, Kevin made the decision to become a financial advisor, wherein he has dedicated the last 15 years - the past 12 of which were with Merrill Lynch.
Meanwhile, Kevin had always dreamed of owning his own independent financial advisory firm. The year 2020 (along with the global “pandemic”) ushered in an extended period of ‘work-from-home/work alone’ and much time for self-reflection for Kevin. This offered the opportunity to thoroughly research and develop a plan to make it a reality, free from the culture of corporate mandates and services of the big Wall Street bank firms. Now, Kevin can focus his efforts solely on the best interests of his clients and those services befitting of their needs.
Kevin’s advisory practice focuses significantly on retirement planning - for families, individuals, and business owners; as well as corporate retirement plans for businesses. To further distinguish his practice focus in this area, Kevin sought and obtained several designations in support of this commitment. He first received the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor certification from the College for Financial Planning. He subsequently earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors, a distinction for corporate retirement plan advisors.
A fundamental tenet in Kevin’s advisory approach is his belief that successful long-term investing should follow three basic, sequential steps – goals, plan, portfolio; in exactly that order. And, while each client relationship is unique, a deep understanding of each client’s goals, along with mutual trust, ongoing communication, and commitment to the plan, provide greater opportunity for successful retirements and investment outcomes.
Kevin is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative, affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network®, member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Advisor. He is registered to sell securities and offer investment advice, holding both Series 7 and 66 licenses. He also is fully licensed to offer insurance products.
Kevin, his wife Aimee (a renowned photographer), and their children – Jacob, Joshua, and Sarah, reside in Pearland, just south of Houston, TX. He enjoys spending time with his family and in the outdoors – particularly hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and golf. Kevin strives to maintain a balance in his pursuits and is passionate about giving back and being active in his church, community, charitable and conservation organizations.
Kevin currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors of the local hospital – HCA Houston Healthcare – Pearland, and is also the current board president of the Pearland ISD Education Foundation. He is also a member of the Pearland Lions Club. Kevin was a previous graduate of Leadership Pearland, a program of the Chamber of Commerce, whose executive board he also served on as well. He also previously served on the boards of local chapters of national conservation organizations – Ducks Unlimited, Coastal Conservation Association, and the (former) Quality Deer Management [now National Deer Association].
